The Animal Science Center (ASC) provides veterinary care and research support for all animals used in research and teaching at Boston University (BU) and Boston Medical Center (BMC). The ASC Director leads all aspects of veterinary medical care and husbandry services; assures compliance with all BU policies, laws and regulations concerning the use of animals in research; and provides veterinary medical advice to researchers. This position requires clinical and surgical veterinary skills, facility management experience, the ability to oversee and maintain records and databases, computer literacy, strong organizational and leadership skills, direct interaction with diverse groups within the University and Medical Center, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a record of customer service.
