Program Administrator - Chief Diversity Office,Office of the Provost - (21001577)
The Office of the Provost is responsible for setting and guiding institutional and budgetary priorities that advance the University's academic mission. Together with deans and senior administrators, the Provost directs and supports the partnerships, collaborations, and planning initiatives on four Massachusetts campuses and an international center in Talloires, France. This team of academic leaders ensures that our educational and research programs are of the highest quality by working closely with faculty, staff, alumni, and students to fulfill the University's goals and aspirations. The Office of the Provost is also responsible for the library system, international and industry collaborations, and the ten Boards of Advisors and supports two Chief Diversity Officers that provide strategic vision and oversight for diversity and inclusion across the university.
The Program Administrator will assist the Chief Diversity Officer unit within the Office of the Provost in developing and implementing effective communication strategies, managing program logistics, scheduling, supporting committee work, and supporting efforts on all initiatives including Tufts as an Antiracist University. Provides subject matter knowledge to help develop, implement, review and evaluate key diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and associated university strategic goals in collaboration with the Associate Provost and Chief Diversity Officers. Implements strategic goals for process improvement; and maintains and provides content for website material and supports overall communications for the office.
Knowledge and experience typically acquired by:
Bachelor's degree; superb judgment, demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial and oral and written communication skills;
3-5 years relevant experience;
Ability to design survey instruments;
Demonstrated communication skills; openness to different viewpoints; respectful towards others; collaborates well on joint projects and decisions. Ability to clearly articulate project progress; ability to serve as a member or lead working groupst; ability to work with a variety of individuals in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment; ability to listen to feedback and make appropriate decisions.
Ability to work with a wide variety of community members with various levels of expertise; ability to handle multiple projects and demands at once; ability to present complex findings in a manner that is accessible to different stakeholders.
Seeks feedback to improve processes; proactively reaches out to university community to address their needs.
Knowledge and expertise with web content development and making website updates.
Knowledge of DEIJ subject matter.
Special Work Schedule Requirements: Occasional evenings required.
