We are seeking a meticulous administrator with excellent writing and people skills to assist with all aspects of administering an 18-month journalism-innovation grant. This job will require writing grant reports that need minimal editing, tracking budget and spending, and assisting the Primary Researchers in all aspects of their work including scheduling, event logistics (online and in person), and other forms of administrative support. In addition, the person who does this job will execute engagement strategy via social media and email.
This is a Local 1205 Clerical Unit position subject to the terms and conditions agreed to in the Union Contract between Teamsters Local 1205 and The New School.
The work this position will support is building community news hubs around the country. Interest in community organizing and/or journalism is a help but not essential.

The ideal candidate is utterly dependable, an excellent writer and a meticulous manager, comfortable both with spreadsheets and people. This person is happy to jump in on projects as they arise.
