Accountable for creation and delivery of programs and events to strengthen alumni connection and engagement. Accountable for achieving pre-determined engagement goals for Reunion. Responsible for effective management, training, and engagement of volunteers. Responsible for effective and independent management of multiple Reunion programs and logistics. Accountable for effective coordination and support of Alumni Relations Signature Programs, which includes Reunion and Regional Programs.
- Previous event planning and execution experience, and demonstrated abilities coordinating vendors and volunteers is essential. - Experience with Microsoft suite of products and Google Suite is preferred. - Experience with Black Baud's Razors Edge a plus. - Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be well organized, detail oriented and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency and skills with computer technology required.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated an entrepreneurial thought process, a high energy approach and creative thinking skills.
Exceptionally strong organizational skills are critical as well as the ability to be flexible, manage multiple tasks and respond appropriately to unexpected challenges.
The ability to successfully represent the university with all stakeholders and to understand the value of a liberal arts education is essential.
Must be able to travel and work evenings and weekends when needed.
Familiarity with Colgate University and its alumni community is preferred.
Experience in institutional advancement, event planning, marketing, or related experience is preferred.
A Bachelor's degree or comparable experience is preferred.
