The Department of Mechanical & Materials Engineering at Portland State University invites local, qualified candidates to serve as adjunct instructors in the following specialty areas: Design & Manufacturing and Materials Science. These are part-time positions.
Adjunct instructors must be qualified to teach one or more of the following courses. See the PSU Bulletin for course descriptions:
ME 250 and ME 250L: Geometric Modeling and Labs ME 313: Analysis of Mechanical Components ME 314: Analysis and Design of Machine Elements ME 427/527: Phase Transformation and Kinetics in Materials ME 477/577: Introduction to Semiconductor Manufacturing ME 530/630: Solid Mechanics
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field. Work experience and/or teaching experience aligned with course content may be used in lieu of degree, at the Department's discretion.
Previous teaching experience, preferred. PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field, preferred.
