Motivated, detail-oriented and strategically minded Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist reporting directly to Finance Division Leadership working with various units within the College. The Senior FP&A Specialist will report to Finance Division Leadership and work closely with internal stakeholders as a trusted financial partner. You will be a foundational piece of the team that supports the College. This will require someone who is âhands onâ and into the details, but also has the ability to see the big picture. In addition to assisting with financial reporting, monthly/quarterly performance metrics, annual target and budget planning and other items, you will need to create and implement systems, policies and procedures that scale with the evolving landscape in higher education. The position assists with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzes financial reports and transactions, prepares various and timely management reports, develops financial models, prepares projections, and performs research and analysis as may be required by leadership. The position performs a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting utilizing strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; presenting financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner. The successful candidate for this position will have the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule (partially remote and in-office).
â¢Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field required â¢3 or more years professional experience in a field related to finance, accounting, or a related field; additional certifications or degree programs above and beyond the minimum education requirement may be substituted year-for-year for prior work experience â¢Detailed knowledge of basic accounting principles, budget planning, and monitoring, and financial analysis â¢Ability to interact with standard technology platforms (e.g., word processing, data entry, email, internet browsing, etc.) â¢Understanding of and proficiency in navigating computerized financial systems â¢Ability to interpret and work with financial data, perform calculations and statistical analyses, and draw a conclusion â¢Expertise in understanding and analyzing financial statements, written financial policies and regulations, and other relevant documentation â¢Excellent mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills â¢Attention to detail and accuracy â¢Ability to perform complex finance operations independently with minimal guidance or supervision â¢Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately, both verbal and in writing â¢Desire to work in a collaborative environment with System and institutional leaders, as well as colleagues in other financial affairs departments â¢Openness to 360-degree feedback and desire to learn and grow continuously
