Provides fleet management services and transportation services for university employees and students, ensuring transportation system and passenger safety. Manages fleet maintenance, monitors equipment and performs limited maintenance including cleanliness, routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections, minor vehicle repairs, and coordinates overall maintenance. This individual will also provide training to all university drivers and will document their ability to drive on behalf of the University.
Provides fleet management services to the organization by reserving the fleet for the University business, working closely with University representatives who request access to the fleet
University bus driver
Performs routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including oil checks, fuel, brakes, lights, windshield wipers, water and tire pressures
Maintains records of work performed, makes timely reports of accidents, incidents and unusual occurrences
Initiates maintenance for all University fleet including the scheduling of vehicle repairs, after concurrence with Executive Director of Maintenance
Must understand and adhere to the DOT regulations
Must keep track and update the vehicle license tags and insurance documents
This individual may also perform tasks on an as-needed basis for the Grounds Department and the Custodial Services.
Current Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger Endorsement
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
At least 1-year experience in bus transportation services
Must pass a pre-employment background check
Will require weekend work
Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs
