QUICKBASE APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER , Chemical Engineering , to participate in the full life cycle of Quickbase application development, including design, coding, testing, and production support to meet rapidly changing business needs. Will improve department efficiency by building Quickbase applications, functionality, pages, reports, and dashboards. Responsibilities include designing scalable solutions across all applications; maintaining existing departmental apps; providing user support and data queries; understanding business processes and how to apply to technical solutions; liaising with external vendors and central MIT and DLC partners; collaborating with application owner and team to understand requirements for new and changed applications; creating design specifications for new Quickbase applications with stakeholders and other key users to develop an understanding of the need; serving as lead developer for application development projects; participating in developing applications that must adapt to new/renewed business processes; identifying bottlenecks and devising solutions; ensuring data security; validating data integrity; performing testing; assisting with preparing documentation and training materials; and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree in computer science, computer programming, or related field; strong low-code cloud-based system development experience; at least three years' relevant programming experience; demonstrated proficiency with and experience developing Quickbase applications; advanced-level Excel skills; experience with relational databases; strong project management, interpersonal, analytical, and written and oral communication skills; and attention to detail. Must be able to problem-solve technical issues; learn and quickly apply new tools/workflows, seeking out the most appropriate tools and resources; multitask and handle competing deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced environment; and work independently and as part of a team.
