Responsible for producing and directing various live events for SEC Digital Network broadcasts as well as video board productions. This position will be responsible for assisting with the training of students and intermittent workers on control room broadcast operations and specific skills required for assigned tasks. The position will report to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Broadcast Operations.
1. Produce and direct SEC Digital Network broadcasts and video board events. 2. Assist with managing content for video board productions. 3. Serve as Broadcast Operations contact for training of students and intermittent workers. 4. Assist Broadcast Engineer with maintenance of production equipment and recommend new equipment as needed. 5. Assist Senior Associate AD for Broadcast Operations with projects as assigned. 6. Perform related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communication, Telecommunication and Film, Journalism and three (3) years of experience as a producer or director in a broadcast production environment;
Master's degree in Broadcast Communication, Telecommunication and Film, Journalism.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Requires comprehensive knowledge of current live production hardware including Ross Video Switchers, Ross Xpression Graphics System, Evertz Dreamcatcher Replay System and DiGiCo Console Mixers. 2. Working knowledge of Daktronics Show Control System. In addition, comprehensive knowledge of video software recognized as industry standards such as Adobe Premiere Pro. 3. Excellent organizational skills to handle the volume and variety of projects for which they must be accomplished. 4. Ability to meet deadlines, follow priorities and to schedule work on several projects at once.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
1. Job occasionally requires standing, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, and lifting to 25 pounds. 2. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and work long hours. 3. Frequent-External imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one's control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis. 4. Job frequently requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands. 5. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
