Perform student housing and meal plan billing activities, including data entry, audit, and customer service. Perform reconciliations for the departments served by Auxiliary Business Services. Process inter-departmental transfers and reconciliations. Responsible for applying fundamental accounting practices and controls to a variety of financial transactions. Must exercise independent thought and judgment over non-routine accounting problems. Able to multi-task.
Perform heavy data entry into account receivable system and audit housing charges for students and reflect those charges on their student accounts. Data entry into student accounts receivable system (student ID, housing selection, meal plan selection, price of contract, and lost ID card fees and other housing charges) as needed. Process inter-departmental transfers for the departments served by Auxiliary Business Services. Prepare reconciliations to include but not limited to housing deposits and MavMoney. Process travel expense reimbursement. Review and post daily lost ID card batches. Performs other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent. Four (4) years of experience in governmental or commercial accounting at a level comparable to that of an Accounting Specialist or the equivalent experience.
Experience using PeopleSoft and MS Excel. Associates' degree in Accounting.
