This Senior Writer will be responsible for:
Writing and editing diverse communications, within assigned service line areas, for a variety of platforms which serve to engage key audiences - additionally surface brand-relevant stories ultimately enhancing the reputation, brand, and visibility of the hospital.
Writing and editing communications, within assigned areas, for a variety of vehicles that support the hospital's goal of increasing patient volume to key strategic clinical departments.
Ensuring that all content is strategically sound, as well as scientifically, medically, and editorially accurate. Working to ensure all written materials are branded appropriately and are aligned with established strategic goals.
Developing and supporting the department's digital content across all channels, including blogs, landing pages, email, and social media.
Selecting photos and illustrations and establishes a consistent user experience across digital channels
Tracking clinical research within beat areas, and effectively translates that information into content that can be understood by a variety of audiences - including scientists, clinicians, parents, policymakers, funders, and the general industry.
Providing guidance and support to less experienced junior writers, assisting them in their assignments and troubleshooting questions, as appropriate.
Soliciting, training, and developing relationships with expert content contributors (e.g., physicians and nurses) from across the enterprise.
Supporting the writing and editing needs of other functional areas in the marketing department
Maintaining currency of and working to broaden knowledge regarding trends in healthcare industry marketing writing practices, as well as current editing and publishing standards
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree, and a min of 5 years related experience in journalism, marketing communications, publications, or related field.
Demonstrated advanced writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
Strong technical skills, with the ability to develop proficiency in specific software programs as required.
The ability to manage multiple projects successfully in a fast-paced environment.
