Summary of Position:
Teach lower division mathematics courses.
This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis.
Faculty - Temporary & Continuing
MA or MS in Mathematics or Mathematics Education.
Required Work Experience:
Teaching experience at the college and/or high school level.
Required Licenses and Certifications:

Demonstrated experience/ability to use non-lecture modes of instruction.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
Experience with online instruction.
Teach math courses as assigned by the department head.
Offer office hours at times convenient for students.
Provide effective, engaging teaching by way of good communication, sound pedagogical practice, assessment of student learning, and adaption of various levels of student preparation.
Use a variety of approaches to teaching based on student needs, on standards of best practice, and on relevant research on teaching and learning.
Use appropriate technology according to discipline best practice.
Provide up-to-date course work and course-related materials.
Skills and Abilities:
Report directly to mathematics department head. Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of designated information. Perform all duties in compliance with applicable university policies and procedures and state and federal requirements.
Effectively communicate complex and technical information in an organized and effective manner (written and oral).
Work effectively with diverse populations.
Provide structured learning experiences using a variety of pedagogical approaches and with evidence of clear learning outcomes.
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills.
