Part-Time Instructor Open Pool in Multiple Disciplines
Clark University is a private, co-educational research-intensive university with approximately 2,200 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students. Since its founding in 1887 as the first all-graduate school in the United States, Clark has been a recognized leader in innovative research and interdisciplinary academic programs. The School of Professional Studies (SPS) focuses on practical education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, integrating hands-on experiences with coursework taught by professors of practice who currently are working in the field.
The SPS Undergraduate Programs seek qualified individuals to join our adjunct hiring pool to express their interest in future, part-time teaching assignments in multiple disciplines:
American Sign Language Biology Biotechnology Business/Management Chemistry Communication Computer science/Information technology Economics English composition/writing Math
Most courses are in the evenings. Experienced online instructors will be considered for hybrid or online teaching assignments.
Part-time faculty expectations include an adherence to undergraduate program requirements, highly satisfactory attendance record, and regular, well-scheduled office hours.
Master's degree or bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant professional experience.
For online instruction and course development, candidate must have recent online teaching or course design experience.
Preference is given to candidates with:
College-level teaching experience
Experience working with adult learners and international students
An earned terminal degree from an accredited college/university
