West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s Information Services & Technology team invites applicants for the position of Multimedia Technical Support Manager. The Multimedia Technical Support Manager provides management and technical support of the university’s multimedia and digital content technologies campus wide, including the new Science and Engineering Center (SECC) & the Commons building opening in Fall 2021. This position contributes to AV standards and operating procedures relating to the research, design, implementation, testing, support and maintenance of multimedia hardware and software, creates technical documentation, and provides customer service and training accordingly.
The primary responsibilities include daily oversight and comprehensive support of the following technology solutions; classroom audiovisual hardware and software; a large format indoor video wall, including content delivery of on-demand video assets, setup and delivery of live stream events and presentations; enterprise video-recording platforms; and digital signage services. The Multimedia Technical Support Manager is also responsible for supporting multimedia/presentation system assistance as needed in other areas such as research labs, meeting/conference rooms, and common area collaboration spaces.
The ideal candidate can work independently and proactively; has strong organizational, communication and time management skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
A Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of two years of audiovisual support experience
Knowledge of AV over IP technology.
Experience with audiovisual control systems
Experience with video and web conferencing technologies and equipment
Experience with audiovisual recording technologies and live streaming
Knowledge of network requirements for audiovisual technologies
Experience providing training to end-users.
Experience with customer service and support
Experience with Crestron AV control systems.
Video wall hardware/software technology experience.
This position requires an individual who can exercise sound judgment, think strategically, and work as part of a team/collaboratively that spans multiple domains within and outside the Information Services & Technology Division.
Excellent benefits package including undergraduate tuition fee waiver for self and dependents. The salary range is $57,983 - $66,265.
