Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) on the IUPUI campus seeks qualified candidates for the Business Manager (Financial Administration Specialist) position. The Business Manager a dministers and supports the organization's financial and administrative operations. Performs general financial and administrative duties to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures as well as applicable federal and state regulations. Conducts organizational business activities, including finance human resources, and/or other general business operations.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Manage, monitor, and reconcile monthly and yearly income and expenditures for the operating funds for IUSON.
Prepare financial and audit reports of all IUSON accounts for the Assistant Dean for Finance & Resource Management (ADFRM) and members of the Executive Team.
Initiate and create financial documents within University systems to transfer, expend, or increase IUSON's general operating funds.
Responsible for the IUSON annual University budget construction including in-depth development of forecasts for all School of Nursing revenue streams and expenditures.
Manage the financial pieces of the scholarship award process for all system-wide (9 campuses) IUSON offered scholarships.
Train and serve as a resource to School of Nursing faculty and staff pertaining to University, School, and IU Foundation policies and procedures for processing purchasing expenditures, travel requests and reimbursements, cash receipts, and gift processing; m ay set or assist with departmental policies.
The Business Manager reports to the Assistant Dean for Finance & Resource Management.
EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field and two years of relevant experience.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
Experience in financial, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, data analysis and management, or other related field. Experience in a higher education setting.

Ability to use standard office equipment such as phone, fax, scanner, etc.
Experience managing workflows, processes, and/or data entry.
Intermediate accounting skills; ability to spot obvious errors; ability to develop a budget.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply concepts and policies to daily work functions.
Ability to clearly present material and make it accessible to a variety of audiences.
Ability to interpret financial documents from an accounting, policy, and practice perspective.
Expert in use of spreadsheet programs. Ability to manage multiple priorities with constant interruptions. Handles confidential data and materials. Ability to work cooperatively and interact with others at all levels within the organization. Ability to stay current in field. Knowledge of University systems, policies and procedures.
