Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Business Coordinator for the Dean's Office within the Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The primary purpose of the Senior Business Coordinator is to provide executive level support to the Executive Vice Dean. Assists the Executive Vice Dean on the broad range of internal and external activities and special projects that affect the Schools missions. This position prepares and coordinates critical correspondence and serves as the contact point for all correspondence, phone calls and activities of the Executive Vice Dean's Office. Enhances the Executive Vice Dean's availability for critical Medical School, RBHS and University activities through close coordination of priorities.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Maintains detailed schedule of current projects, coordinates staff assignments and necessary follow-up, monitors deadlines and adds new projects through review of daily correspondence, meetings and day-to-day instructions.
Provides management and oversight of project assignments on behalf of the Executive Vice Dean.
Supports the executive/supervisor with key initiatives, prioritizing information and providing background on meetings and ensuring a timely follow up.
Prepares background data and documents for all meetings and conferences.
Interacts as needed with department chairs, administrators and other staff on behalf of the Executive Vice Dean.
Completes independent written and presentation assignments from the Executive Vice Dean, receives feedback and completes assignments.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Financial Management, Management, Planning or other related field plus at least four (4) years of related experience in a hospital, university or governmental setting.
Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Project management experience.
Strong organizational, analytical and writing skills.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
Prior experience with Banner and Banner Marketplace.
Additional project management or related experience.
