The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the activation, coordinated delivery, and ongoing operations management of the Immune Effector Cell Therapy Program (IEC) and the Stem Cell Transplantation Program (SCT) within the division of Cellular Therapies. The Program Manager will support the implementation, development, and ongoing management of program strategic initiatives, including ensuring early to market for cell therapy products, coordinating research and standard of care operations, and leading operational improvement activities. The Program Manager will partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design and execute the vision for cellular therapies.
The Program Manager will implement patient education efforts, patient survivorship program development, growth opportunities, and participate in clinical operations. In addition, the Program Manager will work with external companies, such as pharmaceutical and biotech organizations, to ensure DFCI is continuously ready for new commercial products and manages the ongoing updates and reviews from external companies.Â
The Program Manager has the primary responsibility for managing multiple workstreams to ensure that teams are meeting timelines and milestones, as well as managing project logistics and supporting the engagement of project participants. The Program Manager will identify content interdependencies to facilitate knowledge sharing and integration. The Program Manager may also provide direct leadership for designated workstreams involving planning and coordination of the respective teamsâ€™ delivery efforts. The Program Manager will work closely with various institutional departments and programs as needed to plan, organize, execute, and evaluate the implementation of efforts to develop new models for continuous care delivery across multiple sites.
Coordinate key patient-clinical team activities, including team assignments, BMT survivorship, case review and sign out meetings
Manage regulatory activities for Immune Effector Cell out of specification products
Assures compliance with DFCI policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements and ensures safe, efficient and effective delivery of quality care, in collaboration with Institute leaders
Identifies, manages and escalates operational or safety risks / issues as appropriate; develops and executes related mitigation plans
Programmatic Strategic Planning, Development and Management
Oversee program-wide effort to lead and improve operational coordination
Lead site readiness activities, including new IEC products and expansion of services
Prepare materials and staff leadership meetings for SCT and IEC service lines
Establish and execute strategic development and growth opportunities, including financial resource planning
Co-develop initial delivery plans and activate workstreams, including ongoing operations and quality or process improvements
Develop and manage project-related workstream infrastructure (workplans, dashboards, timelines, resources, milestones), and work with workstream leads to ensure accountability and follow-up
Develop and present reports for executive leadership to support strategic decision-making
Build and maintain relationships with external customers, including payers, administrative and clinical contacts at other programs, and community providers
Partner with Cellular Therapies External Affairs team to ensure timely and extensive knowledge of market trends related to cell therapies
3 years of experience in a relevant field; Extensive experience may substitute for degree
Project management, customer service, communications, MD/health system relations, or conference planning experience preferred
