The Associate Director for Transfer and Part-Time Admissions coordinates the recruitment of transfer and non-traditional students who would benefit from a Wentworth education. The person in this leadership role cultivates relationships and explores partnerships with community colleges, community based organizations, vocational schools and other educational entities with an interest in post-secondary education for transfer and part-time students. The Associate Director will develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies, events and communications in collaboration with colleagues in admissions and marketing. This individual also serves as an advocate for policies that support the enrollment and retention of transfer and part time students; engages the campus community in recruiting these populations; and supports their success through involvement in orientation, student success classes, and other efforts. The Associate Director manages a team of recruitment professionals in the effort of broadening access and achieving enrollment goals while providing leadership, support and training for continued professional development.The Associate Director manages an assigned recruitment territory, participates in recruitment fairs and visits, and collaborates with the Senior Associate Director and Director to optimize outcomes, making recommendations for enhancements as needed. The position reports to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and works closely with other departments across the institution.Required Qualifications:Bachelor?s degree and 5-7 years of experience in a higher education setting or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Masters degree preferred.Must have excellent public speaking, written, and verbal skills to support relationship building with prospective students and other constituentsSkill and sensitivity to issues of diversity, equity and inclusion as they affect the college admissions process; a demonstrated commitment to building a strong and diverse applicant pool; and an awareness of how systemic economic and racial inequity in students? secondary school backgrounds impacts their application to college.Computer skills ? proficiency with Microsoft applications required; experience with Slate Technolutions is desired.A valid driver?s license is required.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated commitment to non-traditional student pathways to post-secondary education and to being a resource for students of all backgrounds as they navigate the admissions process.Full understanding of the transfer recruitment function, successfully supporting non-traditional students, and proven ability to meet targets through successful outreach.Experience managing new initiatives and staff; ability to create and supervise a cohesive team of employees and direct and guide staff to meet performance expectations.Ability to lead by example, foster collaboration, and inspire others to high levels of performance.
