Under the direction of the Director of Emergency Management, this position will manage COVID response efforts. This position will require excellent written communications skills, the ability to conduct research and use research methods, and the use of sophisticated training methods in a higher education setting.
Typically a Bachelor's degree in emergency management or a related field highly preferred; or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes
Minimum of two years management experience, including both project management and management of individuals, volunteers, and teams.
Strategic thinker with the ability to consider process improvements and position the teams and programs to meet the needs of the campus community.
Ability to read, interpret, and implement LMU, federal, state, and county COVID protocol.
Can handle sensitive and confidential information with care and discretion.
Proactive and responsive to critical situations as they unfold (i.e. an outbreak on campus, complex cases/exposures on campus). Ability to forecast issues/problems and pivot.
Responsive and effective communicator; provides excellent customer service while responding to a high volume of inquiries.
