This position performs advanced personnel administrative functions in recruiting, staffing, selection, classification, and compensation for Central Lakes College. Utilize applicant tracking systems to post vacancies and accept applications; and serve as the college's Workers' Compensation and FMLA Coordinator. Assists the Director of Human Resources and Assistant Director of Human Resources in comprehensive management in all human resources functions, as needed. The person in this position must exercise the highest level of confidentiality in all functions and activities.
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, public policy or similar OR two years para-professional experience performing HR work in selection, classification, or transactions relating to employment and staffing.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills sufficient to effectively compose or present responses to requests for information, make presentations to groups, meet with prospective applicants and represent the department professionally.
Ability to build, adapt and maintain relationships with a variety of diverse stakeholders with a dedication to customer satisfaction, confidentiality and inclusion.
Organizational and time management skills sufficient to develop and complete projects meeting objectives and within deadline.
Analytical skills sufficient to audit data and identify and correct errors.
Commitment to share in the college's Culture of Caring and interest in supporting diverse cultures and populations.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or closely related field.
Demonstrated ongoing professional HR development
Basic knowledge of MMB's and Minnesota State's policies and procedures sufficient to process transactions and answer routine questions.
SPHR and/or SHRM S/CP credentials.
Experience working in a unionized environment.
