Grand View University invites applications for a full-time, ongoing faculty position in Nursing beginning August 2021. The department is especially interested in candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching, fostering a caring environment, and promoting diversity in nursing. The Grand View nursing faculty believe that learning is facilitated by empowering students from diverse backgrounds who bring with them the richness of their culture and the uniqueness of their person. It is through the nurturing of these perspectives that the learner gains a value of the essential elements of the practice of nursing as caring.
Classroom and clinical instruction. This position includes a teaching load of 12 credits per semester to align with the candidate’s expertise areas.
Course development and assessment.
Evaluation of student progress.
Serve on University and Nursing Department committees.
Serve as academic advisors to students.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or in accordance with the Faculty Handbook.

Master’s degree in nursing
Two years of clinical nursing experience
Unrestricted Iowa nursing license (Individuals who are currently licensed in another state and recognized for licensure in Iowa, pursuant to the nurse licensure compact contained in Iowa code).
Doctoral degree in nursing or plan to pursue a doctorate.
Teaching experience in the classroom and clinical settings.
