Responsibilities The Clinical Nurse Educator has extensive knowledge of clinical education and training practices to develop and deliver education and training content for all levels of clinicians, primarily nurses, at the medical center. Mentors nurse educators and functions as a leader and information resource. Holds in-depth specialty knowledge within a nursing discipline. Leads or oversees the implementation of new programs.
5 years of current ICU Experience and teaching/mentoring/ project experience within the last 3 years.
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
Possession of current California RN License.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Knowledge of current trends in nursing.
Commitment to excellence in patient care.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates accountability and professionalism.
Adapts to change in a positive, professional and productive manner.
Knowledge of legal implications in clinical practice and documentation.
Knowledge of performance improvement and evidence-based practice.
Basic computer skills.
MSN preferred or in progress.
Leadership/ preceptor Series.
Reference report reflect an overall meets or exceeds rating.
Ability to work overtime, float to other areas and work weekends and holidays.
Ability to safely lift 25 lbs. and assist in moving patients and stand on feet over extended periods.
