Under moderate supervision, performs routine administrative tasks related to advertising and sales processes.
Responds to customer inquiries and may assist with providing quotes, terms and conditions, and drafting contracts.
Distributes bills and contracts, processes payments, and distributes funds to appropriate account.
Processes documents into the appropriate university database and verifies that information is correct.
Prepares reports of advertising and sales figures.
Regularly conveys various product/service and/or advertising options to potential customers and answers questions about policies and procedures.
May provide guidance to lower-level Advertising/Sales Assistants or hourly employees.
Other department responsibilities:
Designs menus and events based on phone, in-person, or email correspondences with guests.
Creates Banquet Event Orders that accurately reflect the needs of guests.
High school diploma or GED.
Two years in a relevant field.
Proficient communication skills.
Maintains a high degree of professionalism.
Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills.
Demonstrates a high commitment to quality.
Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Highly thorough and dependable.
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
9:00am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday
Shift times vary according to business needs.
