Schedules appointments; provides information; and receives and routes call and messages as required.
Greets, registers, and screens patients
Maintain all staff work buckets in EMR and resolves accordingly
Verifies insurance eligibility for upcoming patient appointments
Maintains physician master schedules/templates
Resolves Missing Slips to Central Billing Office
Collects copays and outstanding balances and reconciles daily deposits to Accounting Office
Obtains authorizations for referrals and procedures from insurance companies
Orders, updates, copies and files patient charts/medical records in order to ensure their availability for health care providers
Completes and verifies forms
Orders stock for office and/or exam rooms
Clean exam rooms if necessary
Chaperone for health care providers during examinations or treatments if necessary
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education; a minimum of one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a medical office, medical clinic, or in mental health office; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Customer service experience.
