Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
The MSU Autism Lab in the Department of Psychology at Michigan State University directed by Brooke Ingersoll, PhD, is seeking a full-time research assistant I. The MSU Autism Lab is focused on the development, evaluation, and implementation of community-viable interventions for children with ASD and their families.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate and conduct research activities
Train early intervention providers
Assist in laboratory planning including material development for training
Oversee laboratory operations and orders materials, supplies, and equipment
The MSU Autism Lab is a supportive and collaborative environment. This position is ideal for a candidate looking to gain additional research experience in clinical psychology before applying to graduate school.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in psychology, social work, or other related science fields; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in standard laboratory procedures and safety requirements and performing analytical and research techniques in an area related to research being performed; experience with SPSS; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated interest in intervention research and experience working with children, especially children with autism. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
