UK Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in providing medications to patients in an inpatient hospital setting. This position will be a vital part of our growing team serving UK HealthCare patients and staff.
The selected candidate will prepare and/or deliver products for individual patient doses including batch doses, as well as participate in ongoing inventory management, replenish automated dispensing cabinets, and provide customer service to UKHealthCare patients and other healthcare professionals participating in patient care. The Pharmacy Technician will also assist nursing personnel by assuring that patient medications are available on the patient care unit.
UK Healthcare offers candidates who do not currently hold a National Pharmacy Technician certification the opportunity to gain the 500 hours of on-the-job experience required to be able to obtain your certification. Please note that either a Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
This position requires dependability, and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
