The Assistant Dean for Careers and Practicum establishes the strategic direction and priorities for the Career and Practicum Office consistent with the mission and vision of Boston University School of Public Health. The incumbent accomplishes this by:
Engaging with community-wide stakeholders to ensure Career Services is a critical and equitable component of the Schools strategic initiatives.
Developing and maintaining a high level network of employers and practicum sites who offer equitable and desirable professional opportunities to the Schools students and graduates.
Developing and implementing a required career development program that results in BUSPH students possessing the job seeking skills required to secure their desired positions upon graduation.
Overseeing implementation of the academic requirements of the practicum to ensure CEPH standards are met.
Managing the overall function of the Career and Practicum Office.
Masters degree preferred and 8-10 years of work experience in a leadership role.
