Under immediate supervision, distributes and tracks processed slides and/or tissue specimens with an emphasis on high level on customer service. Enters data into various computer systems; monitors and performs light billing activities; assist with inventory, supplies, and lab equipment; prepares reports. Emphasis on phones and customer service.
Distributes and tracks processed slides and/or tissue specimens in accordance with protocol; prepares specimen shipments in conformance with regulations; contacts couriers; monitors phones and daily interactions with outside entities.
Enters patient information, specimen and diagnosis text into lab system with high attention to detail.
Distributes, monitors, and performs some billing activities; reviews invoices; obtains missing patient demographics and insurance information; assist with maintaining manuals and procedure logs.
Assists with preparing reports; maintains and updates policy manual and pertinent records as assigned.
Assists with inventory; maintains, orders, receives, stocks, and disburses supplies; maintains cleanliness and order in laboratory.
Assists with phone calls and messages; distributes mail and faxes; develops and maintains files for slides, reports, and cards; performs other duties as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Training equivalent to one (1) year practical trades or other technical/vocational training beyond high school; supplemented with one (1) year of related experience.
