The Department of History at the University of South Carolina invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Asian history, broadly defined, effective August 16, 2021 – May 15, 2022.
Teaching load is 3-3, and the PhD must be awarded by the beginning date.
The successful applicant will be prepared to offer a lower-division survey in either East Asian or South Asian history as well as upper-division classes in the area(s) of their specialization.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
PhD – in Asian History (broadly defined), experience teaching lower East Asian or South Asian history, as well as upper level history courses.
