The Technical Clerk is responsible to the Assistant Registrar-Scheduling. This position is responsible for assisting in the selection, training and supervising of student and temporary employees in the processing of GoldLink help desk, Banner, and student registration. This position will request, monitor, and enter course title submissions, classroom space assignments, schedule build and maintenance functions, orientations, and with bi-annual graduation activities, and perform other duties as assigned.
The employee is responsible for verifying student registration eligibility and providing maintenance of student records. Additionally, the Technical Clerk is responsible for:
providing general enrollment services information,
answering telephones and directing students to the appropriate offices,
assisting with the operation of GoldLink and any issues that may arise with it on users' end,
assisting in Schedule Builder and Degree Works,
assisting with registration over the phone or in the Registrar's Office.
providing support and reports to administrative and departmental staff pulling various data,
processing course building changes with using administrative memos and blue cards,
monitoring and reconciling data discrepancies,
sending mass email messages, and
scheduling academic space for classes and events using the scheduling software.
The Technical clerk will assist in testing patches and procedures for upgrades in Banner and additional registration systems, and will serve on various committees as requested. This position will work some evenings and Saturdays as required during Registration, Graduation and Orientation.
Position is contingent upon sufficient funding.
