UW Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a full time (100% FTE, 40 hours per week), day shift HEALTH SERVICES MANAGER to join our Primary Care Clinic in Lake Forest Park (relocating to Mountlake Terrace in summer 2021). Our Primary Care Clinic offers a wide spectrum of primary care services, ranging from preventive medicine to treatment of chronic disease and acute illness. Our board-certified physicians specialize in wellness medicine, women’s health and family planning, newborn and children’s health and osteopathic medicine. SCHEDULE: The Health Services Manager will work 40 hours per week. Our Primary Care Clinic is open 7am – 5pm, Monday – Friday. Our clinic is currently located in Lake Forest Park and will relocate to Mountlake Terrace in summer 2021.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Health Services Manager will oversee 15 – 20 staff members, including Medical Assistants, Patient Services Specialists, Social Workers, and Lab Technicians. The Health Services Manager will also work in close partnership with 10-12 providers. In partnership with the Clinic Chief, the Health Services Manager will provide operational oversight and administrative management for the Primary Care Clinic. The Health Services Manager will hire, supervise and mentor clinic staff, implement programs to meet specific patient care needs, and work to continually improve clinic operations and efficiency. The Health Services Manager will work with the Assistant Director to prepare and manage financial reports and budgets. The Health Services Manager will establish and maintain an operating environment that assures effective, efficient, and safe patient care practices, and will actively promote the goals of the UW Medicine "Patients Are First" Initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field; or equivalent experience
3 years of progressive supervisory and management experience with budgetary responsibility
Demonstrated management/leadership and program management skills
Knowledge of ambulatory care environment and healthcare trends
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial, quality, and clinical service issues
5+ years of leadership experience in an outpatient primary care setting
