The Department of Drama is establishing a search of qualified applicants for a position as part-time lecturer for Fall Quarter 2021 in the curriculum area of Stage Combat.
The department seeks applicants to teach a graduate level class to MFA Acting students in the area of stage combat practice, both hand to hand and weaponry, (including jo, rapier and dagger, and broad sword). An MFA, or commensurate experience, in Drama/Theater Arts is required. Compensation for the quarter will be approximately $3,100.00 total and is non-negotiable.
Candidates for this position must have strong professional credits and a strong commitment to teaching, training, and working in a university environment. Candidates must demonstrate a pedagogical and professional profile that is compatible with distinguished graduate training at a major research university. Candidates should show a demonstrated ability and commitment to work effectively with a diverse student population. Previous teaching experience of MFA actors is desired.
