Packaging Engineering Program (PEP) at Rutgers University School of Engineering invites applications and nominations for a full-time, non-tenure-track engineering faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor beginning Fall 2021. The appointment will be for a period of one to three years, and renewable subject to enrollment needs, availability of funding and performance. Duties are primarily teaching typically three courses per semester in the field of Advanced Packaging Materials, Packaging Printing, Packaging Sustainability and Packaging Vale Chain as well as associated laboratory courses, senior electives and senior projects. Other responsibilities may include coordinating and maintaining course related laboratory equipment, mentoring undergraduate students, student recruitment, interacting with local industry, sharing administration responsibilities as well as other duties assigned by the Chairperson.
The program welcomes candidates with an interest and commitment to teaching of a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate packaging engineering courses, especially in the fields listed above. The successful candidate will be expected to be an important member of the faculty that helps shape the experience for undergraduate students. Education & Experience: Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
