Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) has an interesting new opportunity for a Licensing Manager in the Office of Technology Development (OTD) . At MSK, extraordinary teams of scientists and clinicians work together on groundbreaking research which can lead to new cancer diagnostic and therapeutic inventions. The OTDs mission is to ensure that these inventions have the greatest chance of being developed and commercialized - so that these inventions both benefit patients and return the most value to MSK.
As the Licensing Manager you will play a crucial role in fulfiling the mission by:
Working with our scientists and physicians to identify and evaluate inventions, and shepherds these inventions through the patenting process along with counsel.
Collaborating with MSK faculty and OTD staff to create a plan for development of the technology, monitors progress against this plan, and then markets to and negotiates with potential licensees prominent pharmaceutical, biotechnology and diagnostic companies.
Work with investors (along with others in OTD) to start new companies based on MSK technology. Revenue from these deals is an important contributor to MSK's research budget.

A Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Sciences or similar
A Master's Degree is preferred
You have 2-4 years experience working for a Pharma or Biotech company
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, applicants with at least 6 years of relevant experience can be considered.
