Description of Work:
Position is a resource for all CYFS (NE Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families & Schools). Maintain a safe, secure, positive, and professional atmosphere that supports the needs of CYFS Director, faculty, and staff. Represent CYFS professionally by serving as point of contact at many levels concerning the activities of the office. Oversee effective management & support in the areas of mail, office supplies, office keys, door access, and conference room scheduling. Provide organizational support to the Director including assistance with calendar management and scheduling. Develop required personnel documents for grant applications. Edit documents for compliance with current APA style guidelines. Work collaboratively with other grant support personnel to achieve a high level of efficiency and productivity in the pre-award process. Work with Director, Co-Director, and Assistant Director for Research Operations on office management projects as directed.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years relevant administrative and office support experience required; equivalent education/experience considered. Proficiency with word processing, database and spreadsheet computer software programs, and web tools necessary. Project management experience essential. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong interpersonal, customer service, communication, collaboration, delegation and supervision skills required. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, provide leadership, work independently and with a diverse population necessary. Proofreading skills essential.
Experience in higher education setting preferred. Knowledge of business management principles and communication strategies helpful. Basic accounting experience desirable.
