This position provides both administrative and academic support reporting to the Director of the Graduate Montessori Programs. We are a nationally accredited teacher education program that attracts graduate students from WI, MN and several other surrounding states. This position requires a broad skill set that begins with thorough knowledge of and experience in Montessori education, particularly for recruitment and program development purposes. The former entails engaging with school districts, public, private, independent and charter Montessori schools as well as individuals as to how we can meet their academic needs while the latter involves supporting the Director to develop, evolve and update the program in response to current trends and needs within Montessori education and meeting our accreditation standards (MACTE) and affiliate requirements (AMS). The remainder of the wide skills set includes general marketing knowledge, budgeting experience, scheduling and faculty and student communication responsibilities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach 1-3 credits per year as qualified.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Montessori Credential from a MACTE accredited Teacher Education Program
Strong fiscal, organizational and administrative skills including fluency in the MS Office suite
Excellent customer service skills
Experience in various Montessori settings (public, charter, private etc.)
Flexibility to work with a range of student and educator styles and personalities
Experience in marketing, social media, and program promotion and/or student recruitment
Ability to occasionally travel overnight, drive to the Milwaukee area, periodic weekend hours for weekends that have In-Residency classes in River Falls, WI
