This lecturer position seeks candidates who will teach the electrical and computer engineering undergraduate courses and laboratories. These lab classes include digital logic, FPGAs and microcontrollers, embedded systems, circuits, systems, powers, and power electronics. The faculty should also be able to teach relevant core courses or mentor student projects. A successful faculty will support undergraduate students in their laboratory and senior design efforts through teaching relevant courses, managing the lab, and providing guidance. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is either: -a Master of Science or higher degree in Computer Engineering or in a related area from an accredited university by the time of employment or -a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or in a related field from an accredited university and five or more years of industry experience.
Candidates in all areas of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates in computer engineering disciplines including but not limited to: digital logic, digital system design, computer networking, cyber security, embedded systems including IoT, and computer architecture. Applicants with one or more years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, particularly in lower division courses, laboratory courses that emphasized engineering design, and/or capstone design courses, are also preferred.
