The Residence Life Coordinator position is a full-time, 12-month, professional position within the Office of Housing & Residence Life. The Residence Life Coordinator works to ensure that residential students of the campus are receiving extracurricular enrichment in a supportive environment, have support as they face academic and personal challenges, and are being presented with opportunities for learning, growth, leadership, and skill building.
The Residence Life Coordinator works with other department staff to oversee a community of students and co-supervise Graduate Assistants and other student staff that provide services and support for the residential community. The Residence Life Coordinator will ensure that the necessary programs, events, community building initiatives, and other residence hall education and development are in place for the population of students living in the community, will help to facilitate student conduct matters for resident students, will work closely with the administrative team to facilitate summer, winter and in-service training for the student staff of the department, will ensure that all department events are reserved and confirmed with the campus Event Services Office through the EMS system, and will ensure all department events have effective advertising including posting to electronic display boards across all residence halls. During the summer months, the Residence Life Coordinator will assist the department with completing campus tasks and other duties as assigned when student engagement is low. The Residence Life Coordinator ensures that summer programming is in place, and will help department staff with duties related to our guest and conference services operation within the department.
