It's an exciting time for our Laboratory Medicine Department as many of our teams have recently moved into our new state-of-the-art laboratory medicine facility on East 64th Street. Our new Laboratory Medicine Building maximizes operational efficiency, allowing our Laboratory Medicine team to provide test results more quickly and reduce the amount of blood needed from a patient to generate those results. Lead the daily operations of the CTL for Clinical Services, which include: investigative studies,management of the Cell Therapy processing and infusion schedule, staff scheduling and assignments, includingextended weekday hours andweekend coverage when required, logistic coordination of protocols, oversight of Standard Operating Procedure development, review of Proficiency Testing, new instrumentation development and implementation, troubleshoot highly complex manufacturing processes, and direct/overseeTechnical Specialists.
Manage and monitor the arrival of cord blood and NMDP products, on call coverage ofextended weekday hours andweekends.
Assist the manager with administrative duties, including payroll approval, review of reagent and supply orders, budget preparation, and preparation for inspections and accreditations for FACT, AABB, The Joint Commission, NYSDOH, CAP, and FDA.
