The Counseling Program in the College of Education at DePaul University seeks to fill a non-tenure track faculty position for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Responsibilities and duties will include the following: -Teach graduate level courses in the counseling program; -Supervise student practicum and/or internship experience in the Education and Counseling Center (ECC); -Manage and coordinate the counseling program's professional practice experience (i.e., practicum, internship, and/or field placements); -Support the program efforts with compliance on CACREP standards; -Help to maintain the counseling program's curriculum development; -Contribute to the counseling program's data driven efforts with CACREP accreditation; -Serve as a liaison to the State of Illinois (i.e., ISBE and IDFPR) on licensing requirements; and -Provide outreach efforts to community agencies and schools for the counseling program.
Required Qualifications: Minimum Education Requirement: -Earned a PhD in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program; -Eligible for relevant counselor credentials or licensures (e.g., LCPC, NCC) in the State of Illinois; -Demonstrated expertise in community mental health counseling or school counseling; and -A commitment to student clinical development, working in a culturally diverse environment, and understanding of the mission of DePaul University.
Minimum Work Experience -2-5 years of clinical counseling and supervision experience in a community setting
Preferred qualifications include experience teaching or working with diverse populations; and knowledge about CACREP standards and accreditation processes and procedures.
