Swarthmore College is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to provide services to ensure a clean, sanitary, safe and environmentally healthy campus. This position reports directly to the supervisor and is expected to fulfill all job functions pertaining to the position. This position requires special attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions through proper communication while working alone.
Tasks performed include daily trash removal, driving a trash truck is also expected in this position.
Operation of trash compactors and best practices pertaining to our zero waste goals is essential.
Cleaning, disinfecting and restocking of bathrooms when called upon.
Operation of various floor equipment
Housekeeping experience and a valid driver's license is required.
Experience in operating large vehicles.
Knowledge of regular and recycling waste practices is preferred.
