Major Duties: General summary:- Provides comprehensive academic advising services to undergraduate students.Major duties:- Advises both enrolled and prospective undergraduate students on University, College and department academic curricular requirements, including admissions and general education requirements and requirements for specific programs, majors and minors.- Explains graduation requirements to students and provides information about course prerequisites, alternatives and equivalents.- Assists students with registration and may coordinate course scheduling.- Assists with projects as assigned.- May assist in recruitment and retention efforts.- May evaluate student-athlete and NCAA compliance issues with athletic department personnel.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.- One year's relevant experience.- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
