The Assistant Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity & Access is responsible for working with campus administrative officers to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, guidelines and university policies regarding equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, Section 503, VEVRRA, ADA and other anti-discrimination laws. Compliance with these fundamental expectations is critical the University’s efforts to support a culture that values equity, diversity, and inclusion and the Assistant Director role will be key to ensuring this compliance. Duties for the selected candidate will include: -Manage the tracking of relevant EEO applicant data for all open positions and ensure employee data is current in HR database and compliant with University policy and applicable state and federal law. -Analyze employee data and prepare periodic reports of these activities. -Survey applicants, and new and existing employees to collect necessary information to compile reports. -Serve as the University's Deputy Title IX Coordinator and Deputy ADA Coordinator with the authority to respond and make recommendations, as necessary. -Receive, investigate, and resolve complaints of discrimination and harassment, including sexual harassment. -Act as a liaison with Human Resources, Office of General Counsel, Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, and external compliance agencies. -Participate in various committees, professional development activities, and industry conferences to keep abreast of current compliance issues. -Responsible for the design and maintenance of the department website and ensure that information is current and provides access to relevant policies, procedures, and resources.
