This full-time, benefits-eligible position manages the operations of the Provost’s Office to support the division of Academic Affairs -- all full-time tenured/tenure-track and contingent faculty, instructional staff, Academic Affairs staff, and IWU students.
Provide high level administrative support to the Provost and coordinate timely implementation of action items
Gather and provide information to the Provost to enable effective decision-making
Facilitates the effective utilization of the Provost’s time through the development and coordination of a complex calendar of meetings, travel requirements and University and community functions
Contribute to the Academic Affairs team’s discussion of priorities, planning, and execution strategies
Often serves as the first point of contact between the Provost and internal/external communities
Manage the Promotion and Tenure Committee schedule and activities
Coordinate all aspects of monthly and special faculty meetings with the Provost, President and CUPP leadership
Support Chairs, Directors and the Academic Affairs staff on projects and initiatives throughout the academic year
Spearhead, with the department or school, annual tenure-track, visiting faculty and instructional staff search
Organize Endowed Professorship selection process and track endowed professorship funds, as well as, Academic Affairs restricted funds
General administrative operations for the division
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 5 years’ related administrative experience
Exceptional interpersonal skills and evidence of highly effective teamwork
Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills
Sound judgment, a high-level of discretion and the ability to handle confidential information
