Elon University is currently accepting applications for an Assistant/Associate Director of Human Resources Operations. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources Operations, the Assistant/Associate Director of Human Resources Operations will serve as a strategic partner to develop, implement, and provide ongoing evaluation of Human Resources programs that support the classification, compensation, and benefits strategic goals and priorities of Elon University. Responsible for the overall development and management of a classification program, support of the university’s benefits program, and recruitment process. Also, for leading and providing expertise, as well as functioning as a consultant to HR leadership. The Assistant Director provides recommendations on changes to employment programs to ensure they remain competitive with peer organizations.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, human resources, or related field and at least six years of experience in employee compensation and benefits preferably in high education setting. Demonstrated skill in operational management and staffing. Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, university policies, and operations. In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits regulations including FLSA, ACA, ERISA, COBRA, 403(b), and Section 125 requirements. Must be a solution-driven individual with excellent customer service skills. Experience in People / HR Analytics with a focus on data analysis, data visualization, and data modeling of human resources and talent acquisition. This includes the ability to analyze various occupations for compensation principles and techniques, job design, and organizational design. Statistical analysis, salary surveys, and project management using Microsoft Office applications are a must.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills in collaboration, consensus-building, and communicating complex concepts in an easy-to-understand way. This position has supervisory responsibilities of four staff members.
