USC's Administrative Operations Information Technology department is seeking a qualified Infrastructure Manager. The primary function of this role will be to provide direction for the architecture of all foundational network and server infrastructure. The position will supervise two other systems architects, one security specialist, and will report to the Chief Technology Officer for Administrative Operations. This role will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the IT architecture and associated technologies: Networking, Server Management, Storage Area Network Management, VMware, patch management, AWS and Azure as needed. The successful candidate will be adept at:
Â Â Â Â Â Â Assessing and understanding the existing technology infrastructure and its capabilities
Â Â Â Â Â Â Performing gap analysis for future systems
Â Â Â Â Â Â Identifying and evaluating solutions and sourcing alternatives
Â Â Â Â Â Â Developing high level designs and plans with associated budget proposals
Â Â Â Â Â Â Guiding the development, implementation and maintenance of plans, policies and procedure required to support day to day operations
Â Â Â Â Â Â Effectively managing workforce by providing appropriate levels of positive feedback, coaching and overall supervisory support
Â Â Â Â Â Â Completing performance reviews and other management documentation in a timely manner
Â Â Â Â Â Â Will report to the Chief Technology Officer
What we require:
Bachelor's Degree or,
Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum education
5 years work experience or,
Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
Directly relevant supervisory-level experience in MIS field to provide technical expertise.
Preferred and desired qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline
