Manage and oversee all aspects acute-care hospital government and non-government insurances and 3rd party collections and accounts receivable for the purposes of liquidation of AR timely, achieving aging thresholds, minimizing avoidable and controllable write-offs through issue identification and escalation. Work closely with leaders and staff to manage processes, people and technology in pursuit of leading revenue cycle outcomes. Monitor and manage AR through communication within staff, payers and legal. Â May monitor cost and variances related to AR budget matters.
Minimum Education:High School diploma required.Advanced education preferred or equivalent in years of services with the scope of hospital AR management.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:3-5 5 years of acute-care hospital AR management or related experience with at least 3 years of progressive supervisor/ management . Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred. Advanced knowledge of health care and hospital AR management and disciplines. Excellent working knowledge of patient accounting rules and operations with specific focus on inpatient and outpatient accounts and the respective rules and regulations. Innate ability to dissect AR and evaluate for trends and lead staff through data to drive results. Self-starter and independent thinking is essential. Proficient skills and knowledge in computer applications. Must be experienced in and able to demonstrate proficiency with computerized accounts receivable software applicationsDemonstrated skills and knowledge in analytic and problem solvingExcellent verbal, written and presentation skillsHigh degree of integrity including ability to successfully deal with sensitive or confidential informationRequired License/Certification:If working in City of LA (required):Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
