The Biology and Biomedical Sciences Department at Salve Regina University seeks a post-baccalaureate researcher to work in the laboratory of Dr. Anne Reid studying the role of flagellin methylation on Salmonella enterica-plant and host interactions. The position is full-time and is available from now until April 30, 2022. The position start date is immediate. A flexible schedule is important as occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct original, independent research under the supervision of Dr. Reid
Participate in the training of undergraduate students
Keep a detailed and up-to-date record of all experiments performed
Contribute to the generation of manuscripts for publication
Perform general lab maintenance duties (inventory, orders, etc.)
BS in Biology, Microbiology or related field at the time of hire, or BA in another discipline with a minor in Biology
Experience with culture and manipulation of bacteria and molecular biology techniques is preferred but not required
