PSYCHIATRIST, PRIMARY CARE , MIT Medical , to provide psychiatric care (medication evaluation, medication management, and crisis consultation) to faculty, employees, and their families within an integrated team model. Will assess patient mental health status through interview and synthesize this clinical information to formulate mental health status, diagnosis, and care and treatment plan; implement the treatment plan; and evaluate follow up strategies according to age-specific plans of care. Will work accordance with MIT Medical policies and state and federal rules, regulations, and standards of care. Will also provide health education, supportive counseling, and outreach to the MIT community in collaboration with other individuals/services at MIT Medical and across the MIT community.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : MD or DO from accredited medical school; completion of psychiatry residency program with an accredited U.S. institution; board certification or eligibility in psychiatry; valid MA license, MA CSR, and federal DEA; at least six years' experience either in private practice or in a higher education setting; team management skills; strong working knowledge of practice improvement assessment/tools; excellent organizational skills and ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines in a fast paced, intensive, time-pressured work environment; excellent communication skills; and ability to function independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to remind others of practice/clinic policies and conduct crucial conversations, give and receive positive and negative feedback, secure the cooperation of others, set expectations and help create a vision for the clinical service, collaborate with clinical providers and support staff, foster conflict resolution, and lead peer reviews and provide focused feedback.
