A postdoctoral research associate position in Biophysics is immediately available in Prof. Xuefeng Wang in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Iowa State University. Prof. Wang studies cell mechanobiology using state-of-art molecular force sensors. The individual in this position will apply molecular force sensor and single-molecule imaging microscopy to study cellular forces during cell adhesion and migration. Our current force sensor is capable of imaging single molecular tensions generated by cells, enabling cellular force study with unprecedented ultra-sensitivity and super-resolution. The recruited postdoc researcher will be commissioned with both method development and biological applications in this exciting frontier of mechanobiology. To obtain more information about the research and publications, please visit our website (https://faculty.sites.iastate.edu/xuefeng/). This position is supported by the NIH fund for three years. It is renewable after three years based on mutual satisfaction. The annual salary is commensurate with experience and starts at $50,000.
